Biography

Marion Syversen is the owner and president of Norumbega Financial, a firm that provides investment advice, investments, college planning and retirement planning services for businesses and individuals. Norumbega Financial is located in Hampden and is recognized as a Women's Business Enterprise.
Marion received her B.S in two years, graduating with highest honors from Husson University. She received her MBA from Texas A&M and was privileged to be the school's first distance-learning graduate. Marion appears weekly as the financial expert for WABI-TV5, Bangor, Maine's CBS affiliate, and is a monthly contributing "Money" columnist for the weekly publication, The Maine Edge. Marion is the founder and Immediate Past-president of the Bangor, Maine chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), presently the only NAWBO chapter in ME, NH or VT.
Marion is the author of Real Deal: Making Big Changes with Small Change available from Amazon or from www.MarionSyversen.com. She is presently working on her second book.
Married for more than 35 years, she and her husband, Mort, are compulsive fixer-uppers and community volunteers. Their home in Hampden, Maine has been featured in the Bangor Daily News, The Boston Globe and they are the frequent hosts of house and garden tours to benefit area non-profit organizations. The Syversens are the parents of two sons, the grandparents of seven beautiful grandchildren, and share their home with an English Springer Spaniel named Maggie.
