About Us

Marion Syversen is the owner and president of Norumbega Financial, a firm that provides investment advice, investments, college planning and retirement planning services for businesses and individuals. Norumbega Financial is located in Hampden and is recognized as a Women's Business Enterprise.

Marion is a licensed Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative. She received her B.S in two years, graduating with highest honors from Husson University. She received her MBA from Texas A&M and was privileged to be the school's first distance-learning graduate. Marion appeared weekly on the JR Mitchell Report every Tuesday on Fox 22 and was a contributor for eleven years at WABI-TV5, Bangor, Maine's CBS affiliate.  Marion is the founder and past-president of the Bangor, Maine chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

Married for more than 44 years, she and her husband, Mort, are compulsive fixer-uppers and community volunteers. Their home in Hampden, Maine has been featured in the Bangor Daily News, The Boston Globe and they are the frequent hosts of house and garden tours to benefit area non-profit organizations. The Syversen’s are the proud parents of two sons, blessed to be the grandparents of nine beautiful grandchildren, and share their home with two adorable dogs: an English Springer Spaniel named Maddy and a yellow Lab named Marley.
